OX1
Oxford city centre, Kennington, Boars Hill, New Hinksey, South Hinksey, and Osney. The most central and prestigious Oxford postcode — with prices to match.
What OX1 covers
OX1 is Oxford's central postcode district, covering the historic city core — the University's oldest colleges, the covered market, Westgate shopping centre, and Oxford railway station. It extends south to include Kennington, New Hinksey, South Hinksey, Osney, and the elevated suburb of Boars Hill.
For most new arrivals, OX1 means the area within walking distance of the city centre — Jericho is technically OX2, and Headington is OX3, but OX1 defines the beating heart of the city. Properties here rarely come to market and competition is intense.
